How the Design Process Works

How the Design Process works:

Phase 1. First visit. Meet and greet.

Visit to your home/business/job site to assess your needs. If you are within one hour drive time from my office there is no charge for the first visit. During this visit;

  • Take photographs
  • Discuss budget
  • Review design contracts (download here)

Phase 2.

Create a proposal for design hours to be billed.

  • A written proposal for billable hours including measuring, drafting, drawing layouts of architectural spaces, furniture design, and/or selecting materials for your project.

Phase 3

Collect client deposit. This will cover working billable hours to measure, draft, and perform material and design selections.

  • Design Presentation displaying layouts, colors, materials to be used in your project.
  • Provide a written proposal for labor and materials, or furnishings to be purchased for your project.

Phase 4.

Project management.

  • Manage all subcontractors hired to perform work.
  • Purchase all materials necessary to complete job.
  • Install all furnishings and materials purchased.
